Appearance inspection covers the shell, handle, spout and base and other major components, respectively, to describe their common inspection points. Function test includes heating performance, temperature control function, water level indication and switch function, focusing on the actual use of electric kettle performance. Safety inspection ensures the safety of the product from electrical safety, anti-dry burning function and overheating protection. Packaging inspection is divided into outer and inner packaging to ensure the integrity of the product during transportation.

I. Appearance check

1. Shell

• Look for imperfections such as scratches, dents, or deformities in the casing, as these surface damages may affect the appearance and durability of the product.
• Confirm that the shell color is uniform, to avoid obvious color differences, after all, the color consistency can enhance the overall appearance of the product.
• Verify that the housing material meets the requirements, such as the common stainless steel or plastic. Stainless steel should be smooth and corrosion-resistant, while plastic should be odorless and durable.

2. Handle

• Check that the handle is securely mounted and cannot be loose, otherwise it may be dangerous to use.
• Make sure the handle material is comfortable and non-slip. A good handle design should be easy to hold and prevent the kettle from slipping and falling.
• Check that the part where the handle connects to the body of the pot is smooth, and that there are no sharp edges or corners to avoid scratching the user.

3. Spout

• Observe whether the shape of the spout is regular and not deformed. The design of the spout should ensure that the water flows smoothly and does not splash when pouring.
• Check that the inside of the spout is smooth and free of residual impurities, which may affect the water quality or clog the spout.
• Verify that the spout is well sealed at the connection to the body of the pot and that there should be no leaks.

4. Base

• Check the appearance of the base to see if it is complete and undamaged. The chassis is usually used for support and power supply and needs to be stable enough.
• Check that the power cord socket on the base is firm and not loose, as a loose socket may result in poor contact and affect the normal use of the kettle.
• Make sure that the base fits the kettle body tightly, and that the kettle should be stable on the base without shaking.

II. Functional testing

1. Heating performance

• Plug in the power to turn on the electric kettle, observe whether the heating speed is in line with the requirements of the product manual, fast heating can save the user time.
• Check for abnormal noise or odor during the heating process. Abnormal noise may mean that there is a problem with the internal components, and the odor may be caused by unqualified materials or malfunctioning heating elements.

• Confirm the accuracy of the thermostat to ensure that the water temperature is controlled within reasonable limits.

3. Water level indication

• Observe whether the water level indication on the electric kettle is clear and accurate. The water level indication helps the user to control the amount of water to be added to avoid too much or too little water.
• Verify the consistency of the water level indication with the actual water level. Inaccurate water level indication may lead to user misuse and affect the experience.

4. Switch function

• Test whether the electric kettle's switch is flexible and whether it presses and pops up smoothly, the switch sensitivity directly affects the user's operating experience.
• Check that the switch markings are clear and easily recognizable. Clear switch markings can avoid user misuse.
• Verify switch durability, the switch should still function properly after multiple operations.

III. Security checks

1. Electrical safety

• Check that the length of the power cord is up to standard; a power cord that is too long or too short may pose a safety hazard.
• Confirm whether the material of the power cord is heat and abrasion resistant, and the high-quality power cord should be able to withstand certain tension and bending and not be easily damaged.
• Check whether the electric kettle grounding is good, grounding is an important measure to prevent electric shock, should ensure that the grounding is reliable.
• Test the insulation of the electric kettle, good insulation can prevent the user from electric shock, to protect personal safety.

2. Anti-dry burn function

• Simulate the dry burning situation, observe whether the electric kettle can automatically cut off the power, anti-dry burning function can automatically cut off the power supply when there is no water or insufficient water in the kettle, to avoid damage to the heating element and fire.

3. Overheating protection

IV. Packaging Inspection

1. Outer packaging

• Confirm that the markings on the outer box are clear and complete, including product name, model, specifications, production date, manufacturer and other information.
• Check that the outer box is the right size for storage and transportation.

2. Inner Packaging

• Check whether the inner packaging material has sufficient cushioning properties to prevent the product from being bumped and shaken during transportation.
• Verify that the inner packaging holds the product in place and prevents it from shifting around inside the box.
• Check that the inner packaging is clean, odorless and will not contaminate the product.
